Tegaki follows Nozomi, an animator whose craft and sense of self are shaken when she brings AI tools into her studio. Inspired by an anime artist ostracized after moving toward AI, the film follows the rupture between Nozomi and her childhood friend Mia, who sees the same tools as a way to widen creative access. It is a story about fear of replacement, the cost of community, and whether traditional and hybrid practice can meet in the same room.
